Happy Independence Day!

To quote Tabitha these days, "Oh My Good-ness!" It has been an action packed holiday weekend full of firsts for her.

• First trip to Mountasia Fun Place with her first try at bumper boats & the go-carts with Dad
• First time registering for Summer Camp
• First holiday trip to the Lake
• First experience that electronics don't like sudden impacts (ed. note: broke her CD player when she walked away from it & pulled it off the counter & smashed it into the tile floor....)
• First time "tubing" behind a boat
• First time on a Sea-doo & jumping waves with Mom
• First set of water shoes for all these great adventures
• First surprise visit from family (Doug & Drew dropped in for a couple of days!)
• First time seeing fireworks and first time going out to a park & picnicking while waiting for the show
• First time watching fireworks from the backyard
• First time asking for a bedtime story -- Dr. Suess of course!
• First adventures in aeronautics, designing & test-flying paper airplanes all over the house today.

Funniest comments from Tabitha & Drew while the fireworks were going up "I like dat one!" "Well I like that one if you like that one." "Booo-tiful...." "Like flowers" "Higher! Higher!" (ed. note: still trying to get across the difference between 'higher' & 'more' ) "Way Cool!!" "Mom! Flags! I like flags!!"
