Adoption update
Heard from Gladney on Friday that Family #2 had a smooth day at court and hopefully they are close to being on their way home. Family #3 has also been assigned a court date and is apparently traveling to Russia this next weekend (Feb 18-19).
This has been encouraging news that the court dates are being doled out at a steady pace. On the one hand, Michael & I are genuinely happy for the families that are ahead of us, but it's frustrating that our turn hasn't come up yet. Michael has a countdown going in his head, because a rather crucial bit of paperwork expires in early March, so if we haven't traveled by then, that will delay everything. Now that I have Tabitha's room organized, her coming home is much more real to me and I find myself lacking in patience at this point. I realize that in the grand scheme one more month is nothing compared to the five years that we've been talking about getting to this point, but still I could do with a little immediate gratification here!
